About Max Gouverne:
Dr. Max Gouverne is a board certified plastic surgeon residing in Corpus Christi, Texas. Dr. Gouverne trained at the University of Kansas, the oldest plastic surgery program west of the Mississippi under the guidance of Dr. Jack Hiebert, expert in the field of cleft lip and craniofacial surgery. He received additional training from Ted Lockwood, M.D., a pioneer in body contouring surgery and Lynn D. Ketchum, M.D., a nationally renowned plastic surgeon. Dr. Gouverne's primary research is in the field of cosmetic surgery.
Additionally, Dr. Gouverne has brought several new techniques to South Texas. He leads the first team of surgeons performing microsurgery in Corpus Christi for breast, head and neck, and extremity reconstruction. He was the first plastic surgeon to use endoscopy in his practice and has expanded endoscopic techniques to cosmetic surgery of the breast and face. Dr. Gouverne introduced tumescent and ultrasonic liposuction to Corpus Christi, greatly enhancing its safety. He also offers the first office-based cosmetic surgery operating room facility in Corpus Christi. Cosmetic surgery techniques are constantly evolving and Dr. Gouverne remains in the forefront of these new developments.
In 1996 Dr. Gouverne was named to "The Best Doctors in America". He's also a member of the prestigious American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). ASAPS membership requires certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and signifies that these surgeons devote a substantial portion of their professional efforts to the refinement of aesthetic techniques.
