About Catherine McCabe:
Catherine is a native of New Jersey and was raised in Hunterdon County. She received a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University in environmental policy and later returned to Rutgers for her BS in nursing as a second career. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing in Midwifery and Women’s Health in 2010 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is both a licensed Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health. She received Nurse of the Year 2015 in women’s health. Catherine specializes in HypnoBirthing, and taught it for 10 years. She has her First Assist for Cesarean Section certification; bringing midwifery and women-centered care in cases where cesarean birth is unavoidable. She is a strong advocated for Vaginal Birth after Cesarean focusing on improving maternal and newborn outcomes with physiological birth. Gynecological specialties include adolescent care, family planning, and IUD and Nexplanon insertion. Catherine lives in Hunterdon County with her husband and two boys. She loves to sail, ski and garden.
