About Clayton Crantford:
Dr. Crantford is one of the few plastic surgeons in South Carolina with additional aesthetic surgery fellowship training endorsed by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Crantford is a native South Carolinian, who was born and raised in Columbia. He attended the Honors College at the University of South Carolina, where his success earned him selection into the respected Phi Beta Kappa Society. After graduating at the top of his class with a degree in mathematics, he enrolled in medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina and was awarded the Rich Scholarship for academic performance. Dr. Crantford graduated at the top of his class and was honored with admission to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
After medical school, Dr. Crantford was selected to train in the prestigious integrated plastic surgery program at Wake Forest. At Wake Forest, he trained with leaders in plastic surgery and medical innovation. As a resident, he published numerous articles and presented research at regional, national and international meetings. He was honored by the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgery, along with his co-resident, with the Nicholas Georgiade Award for the best resident research project.
After completing six years or plastic surgery training, he was invited to join internationally recognized Hunstad/Kortesis/Bharti Center for Plastic Surgery as a fellow. The fellowship is one of a select few in the world that is endorsed by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Crantford refined his skills in advanced aesthetic plastic surgery training and continued to publish and present medical research.
Dr. Crantford enjoys international medical missions and continues to travel to Africa and South America to provide medical care to the underserved. In his free time, he enjoys leading an active lifestyle and spending time with his family and friends.
