About Joanne B. Votel:
About Me:
I come from a humble background and large family. I have always lived in and around the Saint Paul area, and I now reside in Stillwater with my family and dogs. I was the first, and for a long time, the only one to be college educated in my family. I am married, have 2 step-daughters, 2 daughters, and one son-in-law.
Education:
I attended the College of St. Catherine for my baccalaureate degree, and went to the University of Minnesota for medical school and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). I started Partners OB/GYN with Dr. Ingrid Wilbrand-Conley and Dr. Patricia Kohls in 1991 with the conviction that patients and their doctors partner together to improve health, and that mission stands to this day.
Choosing to be an OB/GYN Physician:
My favorite part of being a physician is interacting with people. In guiding women through beginning or continuing their families, my role is to help them achieve healthy and happy outcomes. It is my absolute pleasure to help women bring new life into the world. Additionally, I have extensive training in treating complex gynecologic problems medically and surgically. With my robotic surgery training, I have a diverse array of skills to help treat a variety of obstetric and gynecologic issues.
Most importantly, I want my new and existing patients to know that I will work with them to reach their health goals, whether simple or complex. I am an experienced and ‘patient’ resource for my patients. It is a privilege to serve as your doctor.
