About Rick Smith:
Dr. Rick J. Smith is a board certified plastic surgeon in East Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Smith earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry at Kalamazoo College, and his medical degree from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. He continued on to complete his general and plastic surgery training at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan, and completed a highly competitive craniofacial fellowship with Dr. Ian Jackson. He has authored numerous papers and articles describing new techniques in aesthetic surgical procedures and reconstructive techniques, efforts that have led advanced techniques in treatment and healing.
As an experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Smith knows that developing strong doctor patient relationships are priority. Patients who make the decision to undergo plastic surgery should always feel completely comfortable with the process. Dr. Smith ensures that his patients are able to feel free to relax and speak freely of their surgical goals in a private and safe environment. After understanding his patient's needs, he can then work to accomplish the best natural looking results, helping create better, and more confident patients.
