About Mary Ann Contogiannis:
Dr. Mary Ann Contogiannis is a board certified plastic surgeon in Greensboro, North Carolina. Dr. Contogiannis' philosophy is to give her patients a beautiful look that highlights their natural features and renews a greater sense of self-confidence for her patients. She provides her patients with excellent care and uses state-of-the-art technology and techniques to give her patients the appearance they've always wanted.
Dr. Contogiannis completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. After receiving her undergraduate bachelor degree from Duke University, she received her medical degree from East Carolina University. Dr. Contogiannis then trained in general surgery at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine and East Carolina University prior to her plastic surgery residency. She also completed a hand surgery fellowship while training in Kansas City. Dr. Contogiannis has achieved recognition and awards for her work in plastic surgery. She has been selected as one of America's Top Plastic Surgeons by the Consumers' Research Council of America and was a 1997 recipient of the American Medical Association/Glaxo-Wellcome Achievement Award.
Dr. Mary Ann Contogiannis is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the North Carolina Medical Society, the Greater Greensboro Society of Medicine, and the Association of Women's Surgeons. In her service to these organizations, she has served as Chairman of the North Carolina Medical Society's Resident Physicians Section and as their national delegate to the American Medical Association. In this capacity, she was elected to serve as the resident member of the American Medical Association's Board of Trustees. She is also a member of the Young Plastic Surgeon's Committee of the the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and has served as Chairman of the Young Physician's Section of the North Carolina Medical Society.
