Dr. Bernhard is particularly interested in preventative health and providing obstetrical care. One of her other passions is minimally invasive surgery, including using the DaVinci robot technique. “It’s fantastic to see the fast recovery patients experience after such procedures.”
Dr. Bernhard completed her medical education at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, receiving her Doctorate Degree as a Medical Doctor. She went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at Spital Hospital in Buelach, Switzerland. She followed that training by completing an OB/GYN internship while at Spital Hospital.
After relocating to the US, Dr. Bernhard continued her medical training by completing a General Surgery internship at UCSF East Bay Surgery Center. Recently, Dr. Bernhard completed her OB/GYN residency at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Bernhard is board eligible with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
On a personal note: What does Dr. Bernhard never leave home without? “My husband got me a necklace for our first anniversary. It reminds me of the support he has been given me throughout our marriage, especially my medical training. I want to be just as supportive to my patients and provide them with the best care I can.”
When she is not in the office, Dr. Bernhard enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family and friends, and enjoys the sunshine.
