Verified Patient Reviews for Annalise Almdale, MD
The scheduling process was horrible. No one ever picked up or called back after multiple tries for several weeks. The doctor was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and made my 16 yr old daughters first visit very positive.
Easy check in and received referrals for decades and mammogram exams.
Dr. Annalise is a wonderful physician. She listened and understood my issues with empathy and offered options I was very comfortable with.

“There is an overarching trust between a doctor and a patient. There has to be,” says Dr. Almdale. “Because if there isn’t trust and a relationship, it won’t be very fruitful. Prenatal & Childbirth
“Everything about childbirth is remarkable. The fact that we are all here and that women’s bodies change so remarkably to create another human, it is amazing. I’ve been involved in more than 500 births. It’s a gift every time a parent puts their trust in me to bring to life the most important thing in their life.”
Gynecological
“Gynecology is a normal part of a woman’s health. It’s something all women experience. I hope putting ‘normalcy’ in their mind will make them more comfortable. Preventative medicine and establishing healthy practices are important. In preconception counseling, I encourage healthy habits early. I want patients to be as healthy as possible going into a pregnancy. I also loved working with pediatric and youth gynecology.”
Surgical
One of Dr. Almdale’s interests is prolapse surgery. “Gravity works on all of us and putting the anatomy back where it belongs helps relieve incontinence and pain for patients.” She is also skilled in highly complex conditions, which are driving hospitals to change many of their traditionally siloed systems. “We are much more collaborative and need to communicate with different teams in the hospital to meet the obstetrics needs of patients.”
Personal
Recently married and new to Minnesota, Dr. Almdale is settling into her life with yoga, walking her dog, hiking and exploring her new state. The oldest of three sisters, it’s no surprise she pursued medicine. She is a third-generation physician, following her grandfather, both parents and ObGyn uncles. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking and traveling.
