Ashley Young, MD

Dr. Ashley Young graduated from Pepperdine University in 2009, where she earned a Bachelor of Sciences in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry and a minor in mathematics. She was chemistry graduate of the year. She subsequently earned her medical degree from The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in 2013. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut in 2017, and went on to join Gynecology & Obstetrics.

Dr. Young received a resident achievement award for her laparoscopic skills from The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and The Dorfman Award for Excellence in patient care. She was also the three-time top scorer on the exam administered by the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology during her residency. She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her professional interests include high risk obstetrics, laparoscopic, robotic surgery, and primary care for women. Her personal interests include cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family and her dog, Tracker.
