Dr Accocella listens to all of my concerns and provides thoughtful, kind, and detailed feedback or advice. She is the only doctor I've ever had who takes time to truly listen and provide care! She explained a test I had with my primary doctor with details, compassion, and understanding, giving me great advice to leave with.
The entire staff was very professional and kind. The doctor took her time to listen to every question I had. She also explained the procedure she was going to perform, step by step. Dr. Acocella was slightly difficult to find - as in a needle in a haystack - but I'm glad I found her. She is one of a few doctors bothering to care about women who aren't just making babies. I've been going through perimenopause for nearly a decade, and my symptoms were not ignored, but misdiagnosed by several specialists. She has helped me shed light on how perimenopause was the likely culprit and more importantly has helped me manage symptoms and lead my best life as I move into this new phase. She is truly a partner; a highly educated expert partner in my ongoing care.
Amazing, doctor is super sweet caring really takes her time and beyond educational. Medical assistant Sam is out standing, really cares for her patients and makes the experience calming and comfortable as well.

Acocella completed ger OB-GYN residency at UCONN. During her residency, she participated in a medical mission trip to Grenada in the West Indies. Prior to joining New Britain OB/GYN, Dr. Acocella worked at Reliant Medical Group. She is a member of The Society for Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has special interests in pelvic pain, endometriosis, menopause, fertility and fertility planning, adolescent medicine, high-risk pregnancies, general OB care, minimally invasive surgery, family planning, and general gyn care for women of all ages.
When not at work, Dr. Acocella enjoys cooking, exercise, trying new restaurants, hiking, and spending time with her husband and children. Currently, she treats women of all ages in New Britain and Southington. She is accepting new patients.
