Cile Williamson, MD, MPH, FACOG, is a passionate and board-certified OB/GYN, serving women of all ages at her practice, Williamson Gynecology, in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Dr. Williamson has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology for over 25 years and is committed to helping the women in her community improve and protect their health.
Dr. Williamson grew up in the Sandhills area of Hamlet, North Carolina. She earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s of public health nutrition, and her medical degree at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill. She left North Carolina for her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Colorado in Denver.
Dr. Williamson returned to the Sandhills in 1998 and spent the first 10 years of her medical practice delivering babies and providing primarily obstetrics services. However, she realized that many women in and around Pinehurst needed comprehensive women’s health services to protect and improve their well-being. She opened Williamson Gynecology to help women of all ages navigate their health needs from adolescence through menopause.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Williamson is an avid reader, runner, and gardener. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, watching a lot of baseball, basketball, soccer, and of course UNC games.
