Medical assistant is always super nice and easy to talk to. Dr. Purcell is empathetic and takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions.
Dr. Purcell answered all of the questions regarding the prescription I am taking. She explained the reasons why I should continue with this medication. I pleasurable office appointment!

The ultrasound tech was so nice and friendly and made me feel super comfortable for my first ever ultrasound since finding out I'm pregnant. She was gentle and had really great bedside manner. I then met with Dr. Purcell, who is always phenomenal. I always feel heard and never judged or made to feel anything but good about myself and my health. Dr. Purcell is genuine and really takes the time to get to know her patients. I never feel rushed, she listens to all of my concerns and respects my wishes. She is the only OB-GYN I would trust to handle my care during my pregnancy. She listens to women, advocates for women, and makes women feel safe and comfortable.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Purcell attended the Goucher College Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program in Baltimore.
She worked in Washington, D.C. as an international program assistant at a non-profit organization dealing in women’s reproductive health issues, and as a legislative assistant for United States’ Senator Christopher Dodd. Dr. Purcell also participated in two international exchange programs in Paris, France and Toledo, Spain.
She completed her residency at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland,, where she received the Award for Excellence in Community Medicine from the Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
Dr. Purcell is an active member of several medical societies including the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.
Dr. Purcell joined Gynecology & Obstetrics in 2012 and became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 2015.
