The front desk check was polite and patient. The nurse was kind and friendly. And Dr. Purcell is just so great. She truly listens and makes conversation part of well care. I appreciate that she uses past visits and concerns as touchpoints for follow up, was not staring at a computer, and did not rush me out of there. Love her and the staff!
Dr. Purcell makes uncomfortable procedures as comfortable as possible. She explains everything and makes sure you are okay.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Purcell attended the Goucher College Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program in Baltimore.
She worked in Washington, D.C. as an international program assistant at a non-profit organization dealing in women’s reproductive health issues, and as a legislative assistant for United States’ Senator Christopher Dodd. Dr. Purcell also participated in two international exchange programs in Paris, France and Toledo, Spain.
She completed her residency at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland,, where she received the Award for Excellence in Community Medicine from the Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
Dr. Purcell is an active member of several medical societies including the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.
Dr. Purcell joined Gynecology & Obstetrics in 2012 and became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 2015.
