Since that time, she has accumulated nearly twenty-five years of experience and education in various area of patient care (Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse, and Nurse Practitioner). The specialty areas in which Erin has focused patient care on have not just included obstetrics and gynecology but also dermatology, plastic surgery, and internal medicine. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Erin has also had an outstanding academic background that includes a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at South University School of Nursing in Savannah, Georgia in which she graduated with High Honors. She is also a member of American Nurses Association and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. Erin believes in developing genuine relationships with her patients. She believes that caring for the patient is not exclusively diagnosing and treating, but also education. Her goal is to provide the patient with the knowledge that they will need so that they understand the disease process, working together to improve their quality of life. This includes a holistic approach, as the physical aspect of a patient’s illness is not just considered, but also the emotional and spiritual components. In her spare time she enjoys working out at the gym, gardening, riding horses, hiking, snowboarding, traveling and reading. Many of these hobbies are enjoyed together with her family.
