Prompt appointment, very comfortable environment, treated very well, put at ease, answered any questions, etc.
The provider calmly listened to all my questions and concerns and advised that there were many options for both pain management and birthcontrol for each concern. They also made it known that all options would be at my disposal should I request without having to jump through hoops to defend my position. Additionally they were very descriptive through each and every step of the exam to make sure I was comfortable ad aware. I felt truely listened to, in control of my health and wellness with the ability to choose what would best work for me, and that my wellbeign was put first.

Dr. Rau took his time to sit and discuss options for menopause symptoms management and gave me all the information needed to make an informed decision. His expertise and knowledge of me and my medical chart gave me comfort in choosing the best choice for me. He was kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. Dr. Rau completed a fellowship in pediatric and adolescent gynecology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1991.
In addition to his practice in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Rau is Director of the Division of Gynecology at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, and sees children and adolescents for gynecologic consultations. Dr. Rau is certified in da Vinci® robotic surgery and has an active minimally-invasive gynecologic surgical practice. Dr. Rau is an Assistant Clinical Professor in ObGyn and Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
Dr. Rau loves playing with his grandson and granddaughter when he is not caring for others. He also enjoys running, skiing, and improving his Thai language skills.
