Dr. Hanauer is a board-certified OB/GYN practitioner with more than 11 years of experience. She has delivered more than 2,300 babies during her career and currently practices at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola.

Dr. Hanauer received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from SUNY Binghamton. She received her medical degree from SUNY Buffalo, School of Medicine. Dr. Hanauer graduated from residency in OB/GYN from Rochester General Hospital before moving back to her home on Long Island to practice. She has won numerous awards for compassion and academics during her career.

In 2010, she was honored to receive the "Outstanding Attending of the Year" award for her teaching skills. Dr. Hanauer is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
