Dr. John Maddox graduated from medical school and did his residency training at the University of California at San Francisco. He was in private practice for several years in Northern California before moving to Virginia. He joined Dr. David Carlson in 1987 and formed Northern Virginia OB/GYN Associates, which transitioned to our current Capital Women’s Care. He has been the past President of the Medical Staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital and the past Chairman of the Medical Affairs Council and a former Trustee of the Inova Health System. Dr. Maddox enjoys playing golf and skiing with his family and also coached his son’s soccer team for 10 years.
