In 1988, Dr. Weidman moved to Bergen County where he started his medical practice. With the help of his extraordinary staff of caring and dedicated long-term employees, he strives to provide compassionate patient-centered care. Over the years, Dr. Weidman has delivered over 5,000 babies and gains immense joy from sharing this very personal experience with his patients and their families. At a time when medicine is changing and many doctors are selling their practices to work 9-5, Dr. Weidman still regards himself as a small-town doctor and his profession as a calling. The hours are long. The time away from his family can be grueling but nothing makes Dr. Weidman happier than caring for his patients. He truly feels he has the best job in the world. His greatest professional joy comes from his life-long relationships with his patients.
His main gynecological interests are managing abnormal bleeding at all ages and treating each patient in a very individualized way to meet their own unique needs. His philosophy is to try to treat patients in a way that minimizes intervention and risk but also to maintain experience in minimally invasive surgical procedures when needed.
Dr. Weidman has worked in various hospital committees over the years, including Quality Assurance Committee, Perinatal Services Committee, and Morbidity & Mortality Committee. He serves on these committees in order to continually improve the medical care that is provided to women in Bergen County.
Dr. Weidman currently serves as a member of the Board of Lifeline Medical Associates, a single specialty group of New Jersey based OB/GYN practitioners. As a Board member, he is closely involved with helping all Lifeline's doctors strengthen their practices through business methods and of course, to elevate the quality of care provided to Lifeline's patients through evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Weidman lives in Franklin Lakes with his wife, an accomplished interior designer, along with their two children. His personal interests include travel, reading, the theater and fine dining.
