Kaitlyn Wittwer, DNP, CNM, WHNP-BC

Kaitlyn Wittwer, DNP, CNM, WHNP-BC is the latest addition to our team of highly skilled OB/GYN physicians and is our first midwife at Cary OB/GYN practice and will be seeing patients at both the Cary and Morrisville offices.

Kaitlyn obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Utah Valley University and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Certified Nurse Midwifery & Women's Health at the University of Utah. She completed her residency at Alta View Hospital in Sandy, Utah. Kaitlyn has been a registered nurse for 11 years and specialized in women's health for the majority of those years. She knew from a very young age she wanted to help women in their birth process and the beginnings of their families. She has been a certified nurse midwife/women's health nurse practitioner for 3 years and loves it. She considers it a complete privilege to be a part of a woman's care at every stage of life and a special honor to aid and empower women as they transition into the role of mother during pregnancy, at birth, and especially during the postpartum period. Kaitlyn focuses her practice on the patient experience. She strives to involve patients in every step of their individualized care and empower them to take part in the decision-making process with her.

She moved from Utah to North Carolina 2 years ago and has thoroughly enjoyed her time in this beautiful state. In her free time, she enjoys playing at the park with her three daughters, puzzling, exploring the beautiful outdoors with her husband, and playing softball. She is very excited to join the Cary OB/GYN practice as their first midwife.
