Dr. VanGilder grew up in Mississippi, but moved to Oklahoma at fifteen years of age. She achieved her undergraduate degree and completed some graduate work at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She continued her education at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she earned her Doctorate. After living in Oklahoma for fifteen years, Dr.VanGilder moved to Florida, where she completed her general rotating internship at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, Florida and she completed her residency at the University of Florida in Pensacola, Florida.
Now, with 20 years of medical experience, Dr. VanGilder has stopped obstetric and has a gynecology only practice.
Locally, Dr. VanGilder supports animal charities.
In her leisure time, she is an avid traveler and reader and enjoys physical fitness.
