Kowthar is a Certified Nurse Midwife who graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from North Dakota State University. Kowthar began her career as a Registered Nurse with Inova Health System and has been with them for the past 5 years. She completed her midwifery training in outpatient OBGYN offices in Washington, D.C., inpatient and outpatient services at INOVA Loudoun Hospital and trained at CWC. Kowthar is very excited to be back at CWC and is thrilled to be joining the team.
Kowthar is committed to providing compassionate care, prioritizing patients’ desires, unique needs, and empowering them throughout their midwifery care with a holistic approach, addressing the social, emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual, and cultural aspects that shape the patient’s well-being.
In her spare time, Kowthar enjoys traveling, reading, museums, photography, and trying all the different restaurants in the DMV area with her family and friends.
