Mallory Thompson, MD

Mallory Thompson MD wants patients to feel comfortable enough with her to ask questions and discuss their most intimate concerns. She partners with her patients to establish strong, trusting relationships so that they can work together to achieve excellent health and wellness. Dr. Thompson enjoys helping people who are facing issues with menstruation, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and other gynecologic issues. She is also passionate about providing support for postpartum mental health, prenatal care and other obstetric issues.

Our accomplished San Antonio OBGYN, Mallory Thompson MD received her Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating magna cum laude with a minor in Chinese, Dr. Thompson pursued her medical education at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. She received her medical degree before moving to Dallas to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center.

As a medical student, Dr. Thompson received a full-tuition merit-based scholarship, as well as the Outstanding Senior Student Award, Obstetrics and Gynecology. During her residency, she received the Outstanding Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology award. She takes the most pride in the Service Excellence Award she received at Baylor University Medical Center. The nurses nominated her for this honor based on her “service and patient care beyond scope of duty.”

Mallory Thompson MD is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has da Vinci System certification. She is a member of several professional organizations.

Dr. Thompson fills her time away from work by spending time with her baby girl, her husband, who is an emergency medicine physician, and their dog. When time permits, she also enjoys outdoor activities, cooking and baking.
