Maureen Whelihan, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., is a leading board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in Greenacres, FL, offering patients advanced, compassionate care tailored to their specific needs. At Elite GYN Care of the Palm Beaches, Dr. Whelihan provides a comprehensive array of services, including well-woman visits, Pap smears and HPV testing, hormone therapy, teen gynecology services, menopause treatments, and treatments for vaginal dryness and pelvic prolapse, as well as complete sex education services and treatments for low libido. Dr. Whelihan also specializes in transitioning hormones for transgender male and female patients.

Dr. Whelihan received her Doctor of Medicine graduating Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She completed her Residency training at University of Florida Shands Jacksonville. She has received "Top Doctors in America" and "America's Top Obstetrician and Gynecologists." Dr. Whelihan was the recipient of the "Women in Leadership Award" from the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches and "Woman of the Year" from Palm Beach Illustrated and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She remains committed to the legislative side of medicine acting as the President of the Palm Beach County Medical Society and the Florida OBGYN Society from 2009-2010. She continues in a leadership role in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists for District XII, Florida. She has practiced medicine in the Palm Beach area since 1997.
