Dr Whelihan spent an hour with me! She also discovered that I had a treatable issue that was causing pain during intercourse, which I had accepted as my normal and wasn’t the reason for my visit. I wanted to hug her because of how she helped me, when I thought there was no help.

Dr. Whelihan also specializes in transitioning hormones for transgender male and female patients.
Dr. Whelihan received her Doctor of Medicine graduating Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She completed her Residency training at University of Florida Shands Jacksonville. She has received "Top Doctors in America" and "America's Top Obstetrician and Gynecologists." Dr. Whelihan was the recipient of the "Women in Leadership Award" from the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches and "Woman of the Year" from Palm Beach Illustrated and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She remains committed to the legislative side of medicine acting as the President of the Palm Beach County Medical Society and the Florida OBGYN Society from 2009-2010. She continues in a leadership role in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists for District XII, Florida. She has practiced medicine in the Palm Beach area since 1997.
