Born in Nebraska, raised in Iowa, I am a proud mid-westerner, who knew from a very young age that I wanted to care for women. After graduating with a BSN in nursing in 1996, I landed my dream job in Labor and Delivery in Phoenix, AZ. Coaching, educating and advocating for women during the best, scariest and most vulnerable time in their lives was immensely fulfilling for me. I was also part of the Critical Care Obstetrics team caring for women experiencing complications during pregnancy and/or delivery.
After 19 years of labor and delivery, I decided I wanted a relationship with women not only during child bearing years but throughout the entire span of their lives. In 2016, I graduated with my MSN-BC from University Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, my family moved to Arizona and I began my career as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. The increased responsibilities and additional procedures I now perform have proved to be just the challenge I was seeking.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband of 22 years and our three children, as well as other family members and friends. I enjoy baking, biking, hiking and think there is nothing better than a hot summer day in the pool!
Fun fact: I’ve been told multiple times throughout my adult life, my personality reminds people of Kristen Wiig.
