Pharyngoplasty

Pharyngoplasty is a surgical procedure that reconstructs and reshapes the soft palate and the back of the throat (the pharynx). It is most commonly performed to improve speech in people with velopharyngeal insufficiency (VPI) and to treat obstructive sleep apnea in adults.
