Personal Interests

Dr. Ighani was born and raised in a small town in Iran. After finishing high school, she moved to the United States to pursue a higher education. She received her Bachelor and Master’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and continued her medical studies at St George’s University School of medicine in Grenada, West Indies. She then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Brooklyn Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York during which she received the “Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures” award.

Dr. Ighani relocated to Tucson in 2005 and has been practicing since then as a board-certified OBGYN. She met her husband in Tucson and they are blessed with raising their son together. She enjoys reading and outdoor activities, camping and skiing being some of her favorites.

Dr. Ighani firmly believes in a relationship of trust between herself and her patients, and she will continue to strive for excellence in making each visit a positive, enjoyable and healing experience.
