Dr. Peterson joined Women's Health Group in 2011, shortly after the completion of her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, where she was honored with an award for Excellence in Patient Care. She became certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2015 and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Peterson is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate whole-patient care for women of all ages, specializing in up-to-date treatments for all aspects of women's health. She feels strongly that being a woman herself provides her with a unique perspective that allows her to draw from her own experiences in order to provide her patients with the best possible care, tailored specifically for each individual based upon her unique situation and needs. She feels privileged to be able to establish long term relationships with her patients, guiding them and providing support through some of the most exciting and crucial times of their lives.
Her interests outside of work include reading, hiking, downhill skiing and spending time with her husband, two daughters and bullmastiff, Molson.
