I have been coming to this practice 4 years now or longer. I have been taking a high dose of Estarylla for several years now. Dr. Almquist wanted to switch the birth control, and lower the dose amount. I asked why now would you want to change the med. Response was your previous doctor put you on this pill and it can cause heart attack, and stroke. My medication should of been changed a while ago, like I thought this was going to happend a while ago. Don't wait until a provider leaves the practice before address issues like this. Also, I did not finish taking the Estrylla, I started on the new birth control Aurovela. Hopefully taking this new birth control in lesser dose, I will see some weight loss too. The Estraylla causes weight gain, I dont eat a lot of food, and I maintaing my weight.
My first visit with this doctor was great. She is very professional, kind and listened to my concerns.
