About Alicia Walsh, MD

Dr. Walsh graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she was elected for membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society.

She did her internship and residency at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, and became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She worked at Women’s Care, in Somerville, N.J., prior to moving to Morganton with her husband, who is an ophthalmologist. They live in Morganton with their two daughters.

Dr. Walsh joined A Woman’s View in 2006.

Her areas of clinical interest include adolescent care, contraception and the treatment of abnormal paps.

When not driving her daughters to their activities, Dr. Walsh enjoys reading and gardening.
