During her residency, Dr. Hesse served as the program’s Chief of Quality and Safety. She was awarded the SASGOG Award for excellence in academic and general OB/GYN as well as the APGO Educational Excellence Award for her efforts in peer education.
Dr. Hesse’s professional interests include minimally invasive surgery such as robotic and laparoscopic hysterectomy, as well as management of fibroids and ovarian cysts. She is also passionate about providing compassionate and individualized care in obstetrics through education and shared decision-making.
In her free time, Dr. Hesse enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, and their boisterous beagle, Piper. She also enjoys fitness classes, reading, and gathering friends and family around the dinner table.
