All members on the medical team were very patient and non-judgemental. It's important to me that I feel comfortable during uncomfortable procedures and I feel the whole office does an excellent job of this.
Even though I could tell it was very busy, Dr. Van Deventer was very calm and spent plenty of time with me & still asked me all the questions about my recent health issues! She gives me different options for my symptoms and is open to my suggestions, even if they are more natural or alternative medicine!
She listens to the patient in a way that makes one feel heard and comfortable.She just good at what she does.

The office staff is friendly and getting in is a breeze. I’m so sad to see Dr. VanDeventer leave. But I feel confident in the doctor she has turned me over to. I have appreciated this office and their care for their patients. I came from a different office that I had liked but they became overbooked and then the doctor moved locations. I appreciate that this office has not overbooked patients!

She is enthusiastic about all aspects of women’s healthcare including routine and high-risk obstetrical care, women’s preventative care, patient education, menopause, contraceptive counselling, and gynecological surgery.
She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Neuroscience, and completed her medical education at Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Methodist Dallas Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. She received numerous awards including the Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Laparoscopic Award, Outstanding Resident Award and Don G. Harrel Lectureship Resident Research Award. While in residency she served a medical mission to Guatemala.
Dr. van Deventer currently lives in Frisco with her husband, and son. She enjoys any DIY project, traveling and visiting with friends and family in her time away from the office.
