Dr. Baxter is the best.
Meeting before exam to talk relaxed me and let me feel comfortable with the Dr.
My visit with Dr. Baxter was very good. She appeared to be caring and sincere as she has been in the past. But this was negated when I went to check out and make my appointment for the following year, as I have been doing since first seeing Dr. Baxter many years ago, and was summarily told I could not see her for two years as per Medicare and based on a questionnaire I had been given when I arrived for my appointment. No caring or thoughtful explanation...just told that based on my answers to the questionnaire, Medicare deemed me ineligible for yearly check ups. This is disturbing as I have had breast cancer and all of my medical check ups are very important to me. The receptionist didn't seem to care, nor was there any caring response when she checked with Dr. Baxter for confirmation. Just a quick you are ineligible and cannot make an appointment until two years from now. I felt that I had been callously dismissed without any thought for my concerns as a cancer survivor. This tied with the fact that I was never contacted by Dr. Baxter when I was diagnosed with breast cancer is very disappointing.
Because they understood my discomfort and fitted me into the schedule.
