Florence “Flo” graduated with her BSN in 2012 from Tennessee Wesleyan University. She worked in high-risk labor and delivery as an RN in Knoxville for 4 years before receiving her MSN-FNP from Lincoln Memorial University in 2016. She continued to work as an RN in labor and delivery and as an FNP in private practice while pursuing a job in women’s health, her true area of passion.
She moved to Fort Myers, FL in 2019 for a women’s health NP job and spent four years working there and exploring the beautiful coast of southwest Florida. She moved to Hickory in 2023 to join A Woman’s View and is thrilled to be back closer to family and her beloved Smoky Mountains.
Flo recognizes the vulnerability and anxiety that patients feel when coming for a visit with their GYN provider and strives to make it a comfortable and calm experience. She understands every person is different in body and mind and her goal is to encompass a plan of care most suiting to the individual while ensuring they feel understood and included. She is proud of her history and knowledge providing trauma informed care.
Flo lives in Hickory with her husband, who was a paramedic/firefighter for 12 years and is now a wonderful stay at home dad to their three young children. When not busy with the kid’s school activities and extracurriculars, the family enjoys hiking, camping, boating and everything outdoors.
