The check-in process did not meet my expectation. Each window was assigned to a specific provider. The provider that I was scheduled to see had no secretary at the time that I arrived at the office. The other three windows had secretaries that were assisting other patients. I decided to stand patiently at my provider's window, waiting for a secretary to free up, and making attempts to make eye contact so that I could strike a conversation to ask for help. Minutes went by and not a single person acknowledged my presence or asked if I needed any help despite having freed up. Someone from the back even walked up to my window, made eye contact with me and walked away without offering help. Two of the three secretaries ultimately finished their task in helping their patients, saw that I wasn't being helped, and yet still did not acknowledge my presence. I had to take the initiative to ask for help. I understand working in healthcare can be busy and handling more than one patient at a time is not possible, but at the very least, when a person walks into the office, they should be acknowledged or greeted. A simple "I'll be with you shortly" or "Are you being helped?" would have been sufficient.

Even though I was not Dr. Calluzzo's patient, she saw me and was able to prescribe medication. She followed up a few days later to see how I was doing.
It was quick & easy. Dr Calluzo is friendly and calming. She puts me at ease during uncomfortable situations.
