Jennifer Powers is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 12 years of experience in primary healthcare, women’s healthcare, and urgent care. She focuses on providing a well-rounded and holistic approach to the healthcare experience for women of all ages. Jennifer is native to Nevada, born and raised in Reno. She always wanted to be a nurse and moved to Las Vegas to pursue her education. Jennifer obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. In 2017, along with Paige Cook, APRN and Sheldon Paul, MD, she opened the first Womens’s Urgent Care by WHASN which has improved the healthcare of women in the greater Las Vegas area. Jennifer is thrilled to now serve the northwest Las Vegas community through the WHASN Skye Canyon location. When she is not at work, you will find her hiking with her two Great Danes, Beau and Finn; spending time with her family while experimenting on new recipes in the kitchen; and attempting to grow fruits and vegetables in her garden.
