Dr. S is always so knowledgeable & professional, also warm, personable & gentle. She is wonderful!
I received multiple options for next-step plans for pain management to maintain quality of life until the need for surgery becomes more immediate. A plan was made to receive further testing to determine the urgency of surgery and whether a hysterectomy will be the best option at this time.

First time meeting Jennifer Smolinkski, I used to be a patient of Dr Grootwasink.
I had questions about HRT and she answered them all for me. She is always so friendly and a good listener, which is important to me.
She listens to me, explains things clearly and follows thru! I can honestly say best doctor I have ever had.
Dr. Smolinski always listens to my concerns and I am never rushed in the exam.

Dr. Smolinski says there were many reasons she decided to concentrate on obstetrics and gynecology in medical school. She felt that this specialty was one in which she could truly be an ally and a friend to her patients. “I love the opportunity to take part in major events in women’s lives and being able to relate with my patients,” says Dr. Smolinski. “It is so rewarding to be able to teach women and encourage them to become advocates for their own health and the health of their loved ones.”
Prior to joining OBGYN West, Dr. Smolinski worked at another OBGYN clinic in the Twin Cities. While in residency at Penn State College of Medicine, Dr. Smolinski received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism & Excellence in Teaching Award two separate times.
Dr. Smolinksi and her husband recently welcomed a baby boy (Dominic) to the world. In her free time she enjoys going up to her family’s cottage on Lake Mille Lacs. Dr. Smolinski can also be seen at the dog park playing with her chihauhua, Obie, and she enjoys dining out with friends and family.
