I always appreciate seeing my regular provider. She always listens carefully and makes me feel at ease.
Jessica took time to explain treatments and figure out some of my misconceptions so we could figure out a treatment plan.
Jessica is great, really attentive, really present, and very communicative. In a city like New York, it is easy to feel like you are a task to be completed when you visit any medical provider. Jessica asks me about things we spoke about at my last visit, and follows up on specific issues. I appreciate that Downtown Women and Jessica specifically make the effort to make me feel like a person with a history, providing the opposite of the frustrating experiences I've had with other medical providers.
The clinician listened to my concerns about having the pap smear, explained what she would do to make me more comfortable, and reassured me that the procedure could be stopped at any time. She proceeded slowly, and kept me informed every step of the way about what was to come in the next few seconds. Most importantly, the entire pap smear procedure was pain-free.
