Dr. Symbas was very personable and forthcoming about his intentions with completing my partial breast reconstruction surgery. He suggested that I consider the "Goldilocks" method and it was a great suggestion for my body type. I wasn't interested in having implants nor expanders after my double mastectomy so this method suited me and my body type well. As my chest heals, I can see the natural contour of it in addition to the way Dr. Symbas completed my closure and used my remaining breast skin to compliment my chest contour. It's healing well and I felt very well supported by all staff that I encountered at Dr. Symbas' office as well.

From our (my husband and me) first time walking into the office, we felt welcomed, valued, and seen as individuals. Emma is a ray of sunshine and greeted me by name. The nurses were always kind and caring. It felt like talking to friends. Dr. Symbas never rushed us. He took the time to explain the procedure so we felt informed and confident in our decisions along the way. I don't have a single criticism to share. This place is special. My reconstruction results are well beyond my highest expectations. Going through breast cancer was scary and overwhelming, and electing to do a double mastectomy with reconstruction is not a decision made lightly. We truly could not have asked for a better medical partner in this journey.

After being trained at Paces Plastic Surgery, Dr. Symbas uses the most advanced techniques, as well as the latest technology when performing surgery, with special emphasis on oculoplastic surgery under the tutelage of Dr. Clinton McCord. He is thoroughly trained in all aspects of reconstructive surgery, facial surgery, breast surgery and body contouring procedures.
Dr. Symbas, a native of Atlanta, graduated from Trinity and Lovett Schools with high honors in academic and athletic endeavors. He continued his education at Emory University, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society for his academic and scientific studies.
His excellent performance in medical school earned him the honor of being accepted to a rigorous accelerated Plastic Surgery residency program at Emory. There, he completed three years of general surgery, and three years of plastic surgery training under the guidance of some of the best minds and hands that the field of plastic surgery has to offer.
