I am an extremely nervous and avoidant patient for these types of exams. I called ahead to find out the procedure as a new patient because I had heard of the "meet and greet" for new patients, and I didn't know whether the appointment I made was for just that or for the exam as well. I was told on the phone that it was for both and that I would first meet the doctor in my clothes and then undress for the exam. The person who brought me to the room, though, had me undress first, so I was thrown and more nervous because of that. The doctor, though, had a calming manner and performed the exam well. By the way, I found the website frustrating because it made it seem like I could schedule an appointment on it, but after waiting and getting no reply, I was told to call the office to make the appointment. I found it hard to even find a place that was accepting new patients, so that was a frustrating delay. Finally, just a little feedback about the medical jargon on my chart -- I had a miscarriage that was traumatic and when I looked on my chart notes it was called an "abortion." Through Googling, I found out that that's what they're called medically, but some sort of heads up from the doctor or the chart would have been appreciated because I wanted that child and didn't have an "abortion" as the term is used in every day life. It was a long time ago and wasn't a big deal, but I was a bit unnecessarily sad to relive that trauma in that way.

Dr. Peccerillo is very compassionate and easy-going. He listened to me and I felt very comfortable. I usually don't feel comfortable on first visit, but his ears were listening to everything I said.
