Every time I visit Dr.Jefferies, she takes time to listen my concerns and give valuable adivce or treatments.
At checkout I asked 3 times to have Dr. Jefferies and kept getting offered other providers. I didn't feel heard by the front desk staff member. At the end I confirmed that my next two appointments were with Dr. Jefferies and was assured that they were. A few days later I went into the portal and saw one of the appointments wasn't with Dr. Jefferies. It was extremely frustrating and a waste of time to call in and have it corrected, when I called in I was given an excuse by the new staff member when correcting the appointment in lieu of just a simple apology. I don't have a great impression of the office staff at this point. I have a great first impression and feeling from Dr. Jefferies.

Kara Jefferies, M.D., F.A.C.O.G is a board certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a proud double wahoo from the University of Virginia. She received a B.A in chemistry with a specialization in biochemistry from UVA in 1996. She happily remained in Charlottesville to attend medical school at the University of Virginia and graduated in 2000. She then moved to Maryland to complete her OB/GYN residence at the University of Maryland in 2004. Since that time she has made Northern Virginia her home and has been providing gynecologic and obstetric care to women at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She is also a teaching attending for medical students and residents at the George Washington School of Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Inova Fairfax OB/GYN Residency program. Her practice consists of routine well women care, delivering babies, gynecologic problems and surgery, including office procedures and laparoscopy. When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and her yellow lab, Max, in Arlington, VA. She also enjoys staying active with cycling, running, and triathalons. For relaxation she enjoys reading, gardening and traveling the world.
