As a women’s health nurse practitioner, Leah Lin, MSN, APRN, WHNP-BC, strives to empower her patients through shared decision-making and evidence-based medicine. She is an educator at heart, a lifelong learner, and a part-time nursing professor who believes in meeting people where they are, in a judgment-free space. She grew up all over the country as a military kid (also known as a “military brat” to those familiar with the term) and eventually joined the Air Force, where she began her WHNP career. She understands there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach in healthcare and credits her transient upbringing for teaching her that invaluable lesson. After years of military life, her final duty station brought her to Las Vegas, where Home (now) Means Nevada!

When NP Lin began her career as a registered nurse, she worked in gynecologic oncology, which helped shape her interest in colposcopy—a procedure performed to further evaluate abnormal Pap smears. She is thrilled that increasing HPV vaccination rates, combined with years of research and a deeper understanding of the virus, have reduced the necessity and frequency of this procedure over time.

She performs many in-office gynecologic procedures. If you are scheduled for a procedure, please inquire ahead of time about preparation to minimize discomfort during your appointment.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking her kids to national and state parks to explore and appreciate the beauty of our country.
