Maria Ellis, MD attended Brandeis University where she received her undergraduate degree in 1985. She earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1990 and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Ellis joined Woodland Women's Health Associates, a Women's Health Connecticut practice, in 1995.

Dr. Ellis is the Board chair at Goodwin College and received the CT Women’s Hall of Fame Health Care Hero award in 2016. Dr. Ellis enjoys seeing her patients year after year and being with them at the most significant events of their lives.
