Everyone in the office was so nice. And the office is nice and clean. I really like how nice everyone is and how comfortable they made me feel.
I wanted to talk about birth control and Dr. Shiode explained to me each one. It was short but enough to understand. Usually when i see another doctor they don’t try to explain unless i ask about specific things so i really appreciate Dr. Shiode.

Education
Dr. Shiode grew up in Las Vegas and graduated from Clark High School. Following graduation, she moved to Los Angeles, CA and received her bachelor of science in neuroscience from UCLA. She then returned to her home state of Nevada and completed medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine where she met her now-husband, Steven. Shortly after graduation, the couple moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Dr. Shiode completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology.
Skills and Specialties
During her training, Dr. Shiode focused on general and high-risk obstetrics care, general gynecologic care and received focused training in minimally invasive surgery using both straight stick laparoscopy and robotic surgery. She served as chief resident in her fourth year and completed two focused research projects on the implementation of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols in gynecology and breast cancer risk assessment and prevention. Following the completion of their residency training, the couple moved back to their hometown of Las Vegas.

Dr. Shiode has joined the WHASN Essential family as of August 2019. Dr. Shiode looks forward to continuing to provide excellent women’s healthcare and to serving her home community.
