Dr. Shields is fantastic! I love Dr. Shields! She always addresses any concerns I have and is efficient. My issues are with scheduling. I know you can’t plan a year out yet but the front desk should’ve made better accommodations in getting me scheduled when it was determined Dr. Shields wouldn’t be in the clinic that day. My appointment was originally scheduled for June and if it weren’t for me needing my birth control rx renewed, I would’ve had to wait till October. I didn’t need to be seen immediately but making me wait two months when the first reschedule wasn’t even my fault and the second was due to insurance contract negotiations and me not wanting to potentially pay out of pocket for my visit.
Staff was very attentive.
Everyone was professional and nice. Everything went very smoothly.
The nurse who took me back was awesome and, as always, so was Dr. Shields.

Molly Shields MD earned her Bachelor of Science from Trinity University in San Antonio. She then went to medical school at the University of Texas Medical School For her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Shields went to the University of Texas Health Science Center. This well-rounded training and education have allowed her to become an exceptional OBGYN.
When treating patients, Dr. Shields believes that compassion and collaboration are key. She strives to put herself in her patient’s shoes as she works with them to develop customized plans of care.
Our San Antonio OBGYN provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including routine and high-risk prenatal care, well-woman exams and preventive care, contraceptive counseling and management, minimally invasive surgery, and management of abnormal bleeding and menopausal symptoms. She delivers her patients at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital.
Dr. Shields lives with her husband and two young sons. Her hobbies include photography, scuba diving, and cooking for her family and friends.
