I waited 1 hour and 40 mins. Was told I could not leave even though I was told my wait time was 1 hour upon arrival. A courtesy call would have been nice. (I drive 45 mins and was offered a reschedule after I arrived.) So I chose to wait rather than reschedule 2 months out!!!

Dr shipman is one of the most caring and empathetic doctors. She always takes time and fully listens to any concerns. I always leave feeling heard and respected. I recommend Dr shipman often to my family, friends and clients.
Dr. Shipman always takes time to explain procedures and answer my questions. The nurses who take my blood pressure/vital signs before seeing Dr. Shipman are friendly and professional. Finally, the office staff is courteous and competent. Dr. Shipman is an extraordinary provider who spends the time each patient needs, and I have learned to bring a book to my appointment and enjoy the time in reception.
It’s always a pleasure visiting Woodland Women’s Health and speaking with my doctor. She takes time to listen to her patients. Provides exceptional care, while being empathetic. Dr Shipman is in a league that many Dr’s should strive to be. She listens to her patients needs while treating each and everyone with respect. While at AMC, Dr. Shipman served as Associate Chief Resident in her third year and Chief Resident in her fourth year. She was twice honored with the Excellence in Teaching Award by her faculty in 2011 and 2012. She earned Waterbury Hospital’s annual A.C.E. (Attitude, Commitment & Excellence) award in 2015 and has been listed as “Top Doc” in Connecticut Magazine.
In 2012, Dr. Shipman returned to her home state to practice medicine. She has established strong and lasting relationships with women in the community. Dr. Shipman was thrilled to join the excellent team of physicians at Woodland Women’s Health Associates, a Women's Health Connecticut practice, in 2017. She looks forward to continuing to serve the women and families of Connecticut.
Dr. Shipman shares the osteopathic philosophy of seeing patients as an integrated whole in mind, body and spirit. This philosophy mirrors her personal understanding developed while concurrently studying pre-med, psychology, and the arts.
