There was only one person at the checkout. They were helping someone schedule multiple specialized pregnancy appointments. A line of four people formed -- one with a young child, and we all waited for 15-20 minutes. No one stepped in to help us. And no one apologized for the wait. Once it was my turn, it took less than a minute for me to check out. Not having your books open to schedule an appointment for a well-person exam a year out is crazy work too. Like, it's a risk to people's health that you expect them to remember to schedule an annual exam in 9 months. Never in my life have I gone to a practice that doesn't do this. Also, let's not call it a well-woman exam. Folks need OBGYN care that don't identify as women.
