Dr. Nielsen has a distinguished background in medicine and in the military. After receiving his medical degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University in Glendale, Dr. Nielsen chose to serve our country in the United States Air Force and was granted a scholarship to train in Otolaryngology at the United States Army's premier medical institution, Brooke Army Medical Center, in San Antonio, Texas.

Prior to returning to the Valley of the Sun, Dr. Nielsen delivered optimal care to our nation's veterans at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served as Nellis Air Force Base's Surgical Quality Officer focusing on his unit's surgical outcomes and quality of care.
