My name is Tamaris Cotta and I’m a native Nevadan. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from The University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2008 and my Master’s degree in Nursing (specializing in Women's Healthcare) from the University of Cincinnati in 2012. After working 2 years as a Registered Nurse in long-term care, I decided to pursue my passion in women’s healthcare as it allows me to be an advocate for women through the various stages of their lives. I started as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner working in one of the busiest women’s clinics in Fresno, California and gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge working with the underserved community there. I worked for clinics in both Northern and Southern Nevada before joining the organization of WHASN. I’ve now been a part of WHASN since 2017. I love hiking, traveling, and spending time with my husband and son.
