The initial referral from my primary care doctor did not have the correct information, but everyone worked with me to sort it out and get me the care i needed -- and i was in and out in 30 minutes, which was wonderful

First and foremost, Dr. Scherm entered the exam room by greeting Me with a hand shake, with a very warm smile on her face. I have had extremely challenging past 4 years with my health. Dr. Scherm acknowledged it. With utter empathy . From her body language, to her fully knowing my health problems. Being a stroke patient due to a ruptured cerebral aneurysm; she offered assistance to lay back & sit back up on the exam table. She asked me questions about the my stage IV cancer treatments, hospitalizations, as well as surgeries. To be honest, not even my oncologist nor my neurologist made sincere inquiries. When I answered her questions, she actually listened. I felt heard. Dr. Scherm is a remarkable physician & caring individual.
Dr. scherm is the most wonderful doctor i’ve have ever had. she so kind and patient, knowledgeable overall the best in my opinion and im sure im not the only one who thinks this way.

Dr. Scherm was born in Germany and grew up in Colorado. She is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. She attended medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine-Shreveport and completed her OB/GYN residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport. She is board certified and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has one daughter and enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling with her family and dog. She speaks fluent German.
