Angie joined Triangle Physicians for Women in 2018. Angie’s passion for caring for women began while working in an OB/GYN office in Wilmington, NC. This desire to care for women led to her returning to school to obtain her BSN from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Angie began her nursing career at WakeMed Cary on labor and delivery. After eight years she decided to return to school to obtain her MSN in Nurse-Midwifery from East Carolina University.

Angie believes that women are strong and capable of great things. She believes in the process of natural birth and the human body’s ability to achieve it, understanding that there are times when medical interventions are necessary for the health of both the mother and the child. She feels strongly that the birth experience that each woman chooses should be supported. She believes that a family is how each woman defines it. Each of these families need to be made to feel a part of the birth process. To achieve this, Angie uses skillful and therapeutic communication, as well as patient advocacy.

In her free time Angie enjoys reading, watching women’s soccer and lacrosse, and traveling with her family.
