Friendly and warm atmosphere
I was seen as soon as possible - in fact, I was called three times to move my appointment sooner!!!! Dr Blaue patiently listened and thoroughly examined me then patiently and completely explained what was happening and why. He then prescribed medication I needed to solve the problem and called it in so that it was ready even as I drove by the pharmacy. Other doctors and their offices could take lessons from Caring Center!!! I was so scared when I came in, I hate going to a gynecologist and yet he made me feel at ease, he was very professional and super nice!
We were seen very quickly, and our questions were answered respectfully and professionally. Thank you Dr. Blaue and team.

Although technology has helped streamline much of the scheduling process, I want to commend the staff and nurses for their friendliness, assistance and patience. Dr. Blaue has been my gynecologist for many years and is a fantastic listener who always asks how I'm doing, looks me in the eyes, and listens to my answers. He explains things to my satisfaction and recommended my hysterectomy while easing my concerns prior to the surgery. On one occasion, Dr. Blaue caught an offhand comment I made about fluttering in my chest. I had attributed it to nervousness, but he referred me to a cardiologist which eventually led to a neurologist and treatment of a seizure disorder that was caught earlier rather than later in my life. When I disclosed how the loss of my Dad and my Mom's dementia have affected my health, his comments were encouraging and sympathetic while at the same time cautioning me to take care of myself.

Along with the other members of the surgical team at the Caring Center for Women, Dr. Blaue is certified in da Vinci robotic surgery. In the operating room, Dr. Blaue regularly performs cystoscopies, ovarian surgery, tubal ligations, and vaginal prolapse and injury repairs. He has several medical privileges to hospitals in the San Antonio – Austin, TX Corridor, including the Central Texas Medical Center.
At the Caring Center for Women, Dr. Blaue offers women services in obstetrics, gynecology, and urogynecology. He is very skilled in prenatal care, all types of testing during pregnancy, cesarean sections, vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC), tubal ligation, and removal of the reproductive organs. In San Marcos and New Braunfels, Dr. Blaue is also known for his open hysterectomies, colporrhaphy, colposcopies, LEEP, D&C, and da Vinci robotic-assisted gynecological surgeries.
In 2001, Dr. Blaue attended Saint Mary's University in San Antonio, TX and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. Dr. Blaue went on to complete an OBGYN residency at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
You may find Dr. Blaue and his family watching basketball and cheering on the San Antonio Spurs. He cherishes spending quality time together when he is not working. Dr. Blaue is married to Heidi, and together they have three sons (Max, Dean, and Wyatt). He is also an avid runner.
